“Old-time Cayman fun in the 21st century” is the best way to describe the renowned Cracked Conch restaurant in West Bay. Bob and Suzy Soto originally opened this Cayman classic in 1981 and nearly 40 years on Cracked Conch
continues to offer one of the most enviable waterfront positions on the Island. Over the years it has added fabulous food in a fine dining ambience, friendly service and a lively oceanside bar downstairs.


Regulars and newcomers are always taken aback by the breathtaking views that Cracked Conch offers of the Caribbean Sea, but now they can enjoy an extended restaurant with white tablecloth service and an exciting menu; a beautiful, very cosmopolitan bar/lounge; alfresco dining on multiple patios overlooking the ocean and private dining for up to 45 in Soto’s Room. Cracked Conch offers Caribbean delights and international fare in an unparalleled setting. Signature conch specialties including tender cracked conch and robust conch chowders are served alongside new classics such as Seared Local Snapper and Short Rib Ravioli. Open the doors wide, push open those shutters, and let the breeze wash over you. Relax away the day or evening on one of the beautiful patios or unwind in a comfortable chair in the very chic, newly designed bar with its amazing bubble ‘sculpture’.

For something more casual, take a seat at the fun and informal Macabuca Oceanside Tiki Bar, where Caribbean food and ice cold drinks are served at the water’s edge all day every day. Be sure to stop by on Monday night for the world famous All- You-Can-Eat BBQ for CI$19 plus a late night happy hour from 5pm to 10pm!

Save room for dessert as well; their homemade ice cream sandwiches are the perfect ending to a hot day in the sun!

The History of The Cracked Conch

The original ‘wattle and daub’ style Cracked Conch was opened in 1981 by dive and tourism pioneers Bob and Suzy Soto on Seven Mile Beach. In 1995 the restaurant expanded and moved to its current ocean-side location in the quieter district of West Bay. Ten years later, the now famous restaurant was sold to the current owners who wanted to maintain its reputation for great food, friendly service and the ever popular Mothers Day and Easter brunches.
